Little Laramie, WY shop Atmosphere Mountainworks opened up a webshop for all their in-house bags, though I’m hoping to see some of their outerwear make an appearance at some point. Funky mountain style bags at a pretty affordable price, can’t beat that! Check out the shop here.

Go Out Autos

Go Out is an especially great Japanese magazine for the outdoor gear obsessed. Each issue packs in an overwhelming amount of equipment and apparel, from vintage finds to wildly exclusive Japanese-brand items. In addition to their monthly issues Go Out also publishes a series of style guides where each book focuses on either decadently styled base camps, homes, fashion, or even automobiles for adventuring in. This Summer they’ve published a best-of archive from 2013-2017 which I would love to get my hands on if I can track down a copy, more info on that here.

Zip Dee

Folding chairs by Chicago-suburb awning company Zip Dee who’s been in business since 1967. Plenty of vintage chairs circulating out there but some pretty decently priced specials on there site, here.

The Tiny Mess

The Tiny Mess is one part photo book and one part cook book documenting the compact kitchens of unconventional homes and the meals that come out of them as well as some examples of cooking techniques created by the residents out of necessity. Pre-order on Kickstarter or keep an eye out for the release in June of next year.

Geoffrey’s Snap-T

Patagonia has taken some wild and fun prints to their Snap-T fleece over the decades as you can see here. Today they release a fun landscape print that artist and outdoor guy Geoffrey Holstad has put together, super limited! Pick one up from Patagonia’s site exclusively!

Giro Terraduro

I’m on my second pair of Giro‘s all-around trail riding Terraduro shoes after riding the hell out of my first pair. In fact, it was really all the walking around that did in the Vibram soles and not so much actual riding. It’s not every day that I need stiff XC-style shoes and the added traction of a true full rubber sole makes my regular hike-a-bike duties far less precarious. The other main feature of the shoe I’m particularly fond of is the stout toe cap because frankly, I’m not the most graceful rider. My pedal strokes often take blows from rocks and logs so that patch of tough material keeps the shoe, and my toes, from being mercifully pounded into oblivion. Sure, at 420 grams at the median 43.5 size they aren’t the lightest trail shoe but they’re stiff enough for spirited riding and will hold up against a whole lot of abuse.
